lead the change 2010: an evening of discussion for action

If you could date a Philippine presidential candidate on Valentine's Day who would you choose and why? This is a question raised in Yahoo! Answers three days ago. I got curious how people responded to it so I got glued reading some of the comments. I didn't post mine though but at the back of my head, I really want to question why some of these public office aspirants find it necessary to use innocent children in their ad campaigns. Guiltless mind like they have, aren't they supposed to be guarded from the deceiving world of politics? But however these politicians design their election campaign materials; still I believe the Filipino voters are much wiser now.

A progressive country - that's what we, Filipinos have been thirsting for. Who do you think among this year's highest office wannabes has the capacity and the sincerest will to initiate the change. This is what Lead the Change 2010 is trying to find out.

Hosted by the country's popular educational television and online learning provider - The Knowledge Channel Foundation, Lead the Change 2010 is an evening of discussion for action event that's going to take place on Rockwell Tent on February 17.

How to move the Philippines forward in the arenas of education, environment, health, governance, population and peace will be the core of the discussion. As Rina Lopez Bautista, President of the Knowledge Channel anticipates the presence of some of the country's high-profiled businessmen; I think this is also a useful venue for diplomatic and politicians to prove their worth to their desired public office

Miss Peggy Dulany Rockefeller, founder of the Global Philanthropists Circle and Synergos Institute will grace the event.

As a non-profit organization, the Knowledge Channel is committed to provide extensive learning through its curriculum based programs for elementary and high school. If funded sufficiently, the goal to help provide public school with knowledge channel are likely feasible.

So, to all aspiring candidates for this year's National Elections why not act first and promise later?
