Saving Up with my Second EON Cyber Account

Labels:

In life, nothing is more fulfilling than standing up and getting by on your own. Paying your own bills, cutting cost, spending some of what you make for yourself is just how it is supposed to be and what decent living is all about. Don’t we all desire such kind of living? I do all the time! Thanks to all the online opportunities I came across every now and then and to everyone behind each for helping me make it.

In just a short span of time I was able to humbly fill my used to be empty work station with the necessary furnishings. I couldn’t be any happier I’m almost done paying for things, now it’s time for me to save up not only for the future but for the rainy days to come as well. For that I decided to equip myself with this second EON cyber account from Union Bank!
Electronic application for UB’s EON account is simple. It’s paperless. You’ll just have to provide personal information using their electronic form. Shortly after submitting the application, you will receive a confirmation via SMS and an email. Both notifications should contain your account information and things you need to bring upon claiming your card at your preferred pick-up branch. A cash amounting to 350.00 (roughly $8.50) shall be collected too for the annual card fee.

Great Stair Parts

Labels:

Stair parts come from many different locations. In fact there is probably a local dealer that can sell you stair parts not 10 miles from your house. So where do all these stair parts come from? Well it depends, a lot of wood stair parts are manufactured in the USA or China. There are a few other countries that manufacture these parts but mostly those too. If you are looking for metal stair parts, those can come from anywhere. Metal is heavy so a lot of manufactures like to import the metal and create the designs in house. This saves from shipping over a bunch of already made metal spindles.

The stair posts usually are made in China, USA, or Mexico. A lot of manufactures have machines that do all the work so they can afford to make them in the USA. If there are going to be a lot of the same type of post like newel stair posts you will look to Mexico to find them. The trade agreement is set up for this to work with cheaper labor and proximity to the USA. Usually if you need a custom stair part you will need someone that can make it in the USA. They will have the ability to complete the task for you so you will be satisfied.

The power suddenly went out for like 2 hours earlier so I decided to lie down to see if I doze or if I can stay awake and wait till its back so I can still spend few more hours online. It did (thankfully) and so here I am!

Nothing! Just thought of having a quick look and see how things are going around here.

I feel like I want to do some changes here. But I'm afraid I won't be having time for that right now.. maybe in a month time ... or perhaps towards the end of the year. I know what my impulse is saying... it can wait.

It has to because for one, I wanted to just enjoy the offline world... my world.

I have never felt this carefree for a long time.... you know things like I don't have to bother if I can't publish a blog post for the day.

Yes, I can tell that the online world have really eaten me for years. But not that I feel guilty about it... I simply feel some sort of relief that I finally came to the point of knowing how to balance things out... and I'm glad I did!

I don't feel yet so well today but the bids I've won from LinkFromBlog can't no longer sit and wait. They've been reserved to me 3 days ago and now there should be no more excuses. I need to accomplish them asap before the advertisers decide to cancel the reservations. I've got 15 new campaigns from the alerter and although it is permitted, I opt not to place any bids yet until I'm done submitting all the remaining tasks assigned to me from last week. Whew! This is so draining! I hope my eyes and especially my mind will cooperate. Got four more to do and I'm looking forward to bid before retiring to bed tonight so help me God!

P.S. This review may help, if you wish to join us in LFB. :)

face to face with reality

While still in college before I told myself not to work in any government bureaus and offices after I finish my studies. There's just something in their employment system that I don't like. If you are reading this and you're a Filipino, you probably have a hunch of what I am talking about.

My godmother (whose husband was a Vice-Mayor in our municipality back then) invited me through my mom for a possible employment before I could even complete the final semester in 1999. However, for the same reason I refused to accept her invitation. Instead I grabbed what's offered to me by a certain private institution.

I admit it was too conclusive for me to tell what's possible and what's not that early. Time is rolling and we will never really know what's in store for us tomorrow.

Who would have thought that with the recent transition of the local administration I will be motivated to seek an employment from the government? Thanks to a very good friend and her mighty convincing power. We actually have the same initial opinion towards the government and its employment system but then we try not to mind it over one goal - to land a job that won't necessitate us to leave our family.

I was reading reviews for dog pedic beds when my phone rang yesterday morning. It was her. We both went to follow our applications up. At around four in the afternoon we were interviewed. Although the decision by the hiring officer is not made yet we are still hopeful for a positive outcome of our endeavors.

hobbies come and hobbies go

We all have different favorite activities at different stages of our lives. We often call them hobbies. When I was in high school, I love to collect stamps. In college, playing guitar and cross-stitching were my preferred pastime activities. After I got married and had my first child, I have come to love needle works even more. She inspired me so much that I wanted to design clothes for her on my own. In fact, I really did few pairs. Something I can be proud about because believe it or not I still see some of my nieces wearing them (hand-me-downs) until now.

But time had flown so fast and along with it are the constant changes that have to take place. I've come to learn blogging somewhere in 2007 courtesy of my college friend. Among my past and present hobbies, this seems to be the most dominating one. Not that I only find it fascinating but somewhat addicting as well. No matter how unmotivated I get to write sometimes, I can still find my way back to my pages somehow to talk about something.

How many times did I think of closing them all together for once out of desperation? But as you can see all of them are still up although not all are updated regularly but I sure do as I can.

Reading interesting stories, looking up at great finds especially cheap laptops and other fascinating gadgets from different online stores are my motivating alternatives each time I can't think of something to write about. I don't even need to buy any. Browsing through pages is reason enough for me to get inspired. Although having one of my dream gadgets would mean a lot more but yea I know, it has to wait.

How about you? What hobby of yours that you find most engaging?

Decided to cut my hair today after years of keeping it long. Nothing... just can't find something better to do.

he knew exactly what i need

Great Tuesday everyone! Finally I had a long straight sleep for the first time after that unnerving event that I've witnessed myself last Friday.

I was searching for Norelco Electric Razor and browsed few more pages including twitter and facebook when my Internet connection was cut. That was around 7 pm... too early from the usual I know but instead of waiting I just send myself straight to bed to catch up for the much needed sleep in which I hadn't for two straight nights.

For two nights of trying to surmount my fear by sleeping alone in my room I've never really made it until I decided last night to sleep at moms with my sister and nieces. I was humming a lullaby for my 1 year old niece until we both fell asleep. At around 5 this morning I woke up feeling well-rested while praising the big guy upstairs for that uninterrupted peaceful sleep. He knew exactly what I need.

three-busy day

This is what kept me busy lately... doing my cousin's wedding invitations.

I started the draft the other day, did the printing yesterday and got to finally complete them all today! That made it a 3-day project for me.

I haven't done this for so long that's why I got so excited when Flor (cousin's wife to be) asked me to do the wedding invitations for them. Who am I to say NO? To me this is a great opportunity to bring back the skills I used to have. How to become an expert in this field is something I would never refuse to learn. After all, this is what I so wanted to do again for business. Although I don't want to charge families... all they need to do is provide the necessary materials and I'll handle the rest.

As of this writing, I am still waiting for them to show up to pick their invitations up so they could already start distributing it to their invited guests immediately. Wedding date is on Saturday, the 19th.

taking her second chance

Thanks to my aunt's effort, my sister finally got her requested TOR from the school she previously went to. Maybe after realizing the importance of having a complete education she aimed of going back to school to finish her education course. She decided to stop after she got pregnant with her first child and did not intend to go back until she realized she needed to get a decent paying job and the only way she could get one is if she has a full college degree. I hope it isn't too late for her though because considering the existing employment trend of the country we can't really tell what's hard and what's not. But I know she's going to do it for her kids so I get no objection to that. We mothers always want to be the best mothers we could be to our children regardless of how we do it. So my 101% support is all out to her and her decision. I hope she'll make it this time around.

fun-packed weekend

Hi, how's everyone doing? Thought I need to file another blogger's vacation leave. Been having a blast weekend with distant relatives who happened to visit and stayed for 5 days. So the long last weekend of the month was packed with fun chit-chatting, outing (visiting one relative after the other), nature hopping, drinking and food tripping. They came with their own car so that made easier for us to move around and go to places we went to.

I haven't even done posting pictures from our last summer getaway yet here comes another set. In my future posts I shall be posting them out but in the mean time, I really do badly need to free my hard drive. I need to so I could upload recent pictures and in such way I could also free my camera's memory. SIGH!

problem solved!

Hi, it's been over a week since I got back from our Camiguin summer getaway. The reason why I haven't been updating here since then is that my computer suddenly acted up again the day after we got home. I just can't draw any form of encouragement to write anything looking at its poor condition. Now it works, now it doesn't so how am I supposed to feel good about it? I even thought of just quitting all for once but God is really good.

For days I've been trying to contact the technician I used to know and only trust back in Davao but didn't able to reach him until today. I felt relieved to have heard his voice from the other end of the phone this morning. I am always confident to open up any technical issues with him knowing that he's always willing to help - hands on or off. And yes, since he's not there to look at it personally, he just walked me through the entire process of figuring out the irregularities till it works back up. I couldn't thank him enough for his kindness. He's such a savior.

Now I can already think of how to start sharing our fun getaway stories along with those beautiful pictures that I took from around Camiguin Island. There were hundreds of them. I could even make nice photo postcards out from some of them. They are simply awesome and up until now I still can't believe I have actually been to each of those historic places and lovely scenic spots. So hmm, you better stay tuned for my upcoming posts!

Enjoy your weekend, everyone. See you!

things that should be taken care of

On top of my list for this year's major things that should be taken care of is the nearly coming expiration date of my Union Bank's EON Cyber account. I found out that online application and account renewal has been disabled for some reasons. Given the situation what choice do I get other than presenting myself personally to its nearest branch! Unless of course if I decide to stop earning online then I don't need to bother but that's way impossible for now.

Anyway, as I went through my calendar earlier, I took notice that the domain name registration's renewal for this blog will be taking place a month prior to my bank account's expiration date. (Sigh!) Seriously, I really need to start saving. Not to mention my monthly web-hosting obligation. Now this is really a call for determination. I wish negative vibes will just stop getting in the way.

do something!

Hi! Once again I wish to apologize for my inconsistencies here. I told myself countless times, I shouldn't be letting emotional issues influence my blogging activities but such is me. I guess this is what I get from being too optimistic sometimes... for not letting things happen as they should instead expecting them to happen my way. But who doesn't want their goals met?

Okay, I really don't intend to voice every detail of the sad story out right here. I still don't feel so fine as of this writing but aside from being occasionally told to "do something"; I also realized I cannot just let my blogs sit as well. So I owe this post to the solitude I got tonight. Wish every hours and minutes of the day is just as quiet as this. My life would have been peaceful too.

acquaintance

If you are to search someone online, who would that person be?

I came across with this names browser site recently that reminds me of an old acquaintance that I met back in Cebu. One day she came to my house and asked if I could help her find a certain Johan - a Swedish guy who she once had a May December affair with, became the father of her son and that according to her had abandoned them few months after she gave birth. Although in my mind, it was kind of impossible considering that she wasn't also sure whether what's written on that small piece of paper she handed me was the guy's real name or not but still I tried to do for her anyway.

It's been two years and I wonder how she and her son are doing now.

missing my life back then

Labels:

I’m missing the time when I don't have to necessarily care to no one but myself.
Where I can do things at my own pace and time. Not because I ought to do this and that… but because it is the will that drives me to do something.

I miss those times where it matters not whether my opinions are right or wrong.
I miss the way I can easily tell myself "hey, there's no sense of crying over spilled milk" when things go wrong.
Most especially, I miss the time where there's no need to place so much hope over a certain dream.

But such is life. Things do happen as it comes. We will never really know what lies for us ahead.

i should be going now

It's after midnight! Cheers to me - for staying up late for the first time this year! I haven't been doing this for weeks. Thanks to the so soothing sound of the pouring rain on the background. Of course how will I forget my everyday and night companion - my cups of tea and coffee! They just helped me get through with the first batch of my blogroll tonight - another thing I have missed of doing for ages. But I'm a little bit relieved now that I've at least able to accomplish something.

Well, I really should be going now. Need to invigorate for tomorrows another set of chores and tasks.

GOOD NIGHT, EVERYONE!
