Nothing! I'm just up to another blog makeover yet again. Well it has been planned but I actually didn't thought of prioritizing it since the last few weeks I've had was packed with outdoor activities. However, I came across with this theme while browsing the web last night and so here's the instant result of my
(not-so) impulsive mind. It may not look pleasing to everyone but yeah I find it artistic and to me it works. Oh and by the way, the used to side bar items are now placed around the footer section below so I hope you won't find it inconvenient to scroll down a bit for those items. The chat box is down there too in case you wonder and want to leave some words. Thank you and I hope you enjoy the site just the same.
I've been meaning to do this even before 2009 ended but time became limited during the last few weeks of the year considering it was the holiday period. And I said if I have to do it, I'd better start and end it right. Well, it's all worth the wait.
A sleepless night and a day was all it took me to get it all done. I pretty much did the color theme and a few on navigation areas. Strenuous as it always have been but then again it was all worth the effort. I at least made it look the way I wanted it - neat and clean! Right now, I'm still contemplating on the header. Can't think of something nice and appropriate one to use just yet.
Anyway, this was the original theme. It's called VIBRANT! The tints of blue and gray were fine but I've seen some who are using it as well so I preferred mine to look a bit different from theirs.
And this was how my blog looks like about 48 hours ago.
It's been months since I was yearning to update my blog's layout here for the sole reason that I no longer find the last one appealing. For my convenience, I have bookmarked a generous page that does
blog templates that are free for bloggers who don't have the ability to create their own customized layout like me. So from time to time I check the site to see if they have something new that may suit my blog's taste and last week I finally was able to pick one after a long way of patiently waiting. And though it's been up for a week already, I still want to introduce Isabela. Yep, that's my new blog layout's name. Very feminine, isn't it? And I'm very thankful first of all because it's free.
Its simplicity and manageable features are what attracts and made me decide to use it. As much as possible I don't want to use stuffy and too decorative template. Why? No offense meant to others but as far as I have learned it's one of the reasons why a page don't load fast. For me a fast loading website is essential. It don't only give your readers and visitors a chance to simply browse your page but it does help on letting them look around and read some interesting posts of yours as well... even the archived ones.
